Harvey L. Burnett worked for Dr. Phillips Charities for 46 years, rising to Vice President of Operations for Dr. Phillips, Inc., Executive Vice President of the Dr. P. Phillips Foundation and Secretary/Treasurer for both The Dr. P. Phillips Foundation and Dr. Phillips, Inc. Harvey also served as Director of both The Dr. P. Phillips Foundation and Dr. Phillips, Inc.
After military service with the US Air Force, Harvey attended Valencia Community College and took various courses at the University of Central Florida and Rollins College. During his tenure, Harvey also acquired his Broker’s license in real estate, which he maintains today. Harvey has served as a Board member and Secretary for the Committee of 100 of Orange County, Inc., member of the Kiwanis Club of Orlando and a Director of the Kiwanis Club of Orlando Foundation. He is a Deacon at Delaney Street Baptist Church where he also serves on several committees. Formerly, he was a Director for M. D. Anderson Cancer Center of Orlando and a board and executive committee member for Orange County Public Schools Foundation.
In January 2003, Harvey received the Boys and Girls Clubs Volunteer of the Year Award. He has also served on several Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Florida building committees for the renovation of existing clubs and the design of new facilities.
Harvey and his wife of 49 years, Jill, are both Orlando natives. They enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren, who all live in the area.
