Dr. Phillips Charities has awarded a $600,000 grant to Valencia College to enhance job training and food access for students. The funding includes $450,000 for scholarships to support low-income residents in the Accelerated Skills Training (AST) program and $150,000 to expand VCentials markets, providing free access to nutritious food and hygiene items. This initiative aims to remove barriers to academic success and support the well-being of students, particularly those balancing work and family responsibilities.
